Nexus BuildWorks (“Nexus BuildWorks,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information you share with us. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and safeguard your personal information when you visit https://nexusbuildworks.com (the “Site”), use our remodeling and construction services, or communicate with us by text message (collectively, the “Services”), and explains your rights under applicable data protection laws, including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA).
By accessing or using the Site, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with our practices, please do not use the Site or Services.
1. Who We Are (Data Controller)
For the purposes of applicable data protection laws, the data controller responsible for your personal information is Nexus BuildWorks, located at 3036 Adventure Way, Ladson, South Carolina, United States. You can reach us at contact@nexusbuildworks.com or (854) 210-8150 with any questions about this Policy or how we handle your data.
2. SMS / Text Messaging Program
This section describes how we handle mobile phone numbers and text (SMS/MMS) messaging, and applies in addition to the rest of this Privacy Policy.
Consent to receive messages. By providing your mobile telephone number to Nexus BuildWorks — for example, through our online contact or quote request forms, by phone, or in person — you agree that we may contact you by SMS/text message regarding your inquiry, quotes and estimates, appointment scheduling, project updates, billing, and customer service. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services.
Types of messages. You may receive conversational and customer-care messages, appointment and project reminders, and, where you have separately opted in, promotional messages.
Message frequency. Message frequency varies depending on your interactions with us.
Message and data rates. Message and data rates may apply, according to your mobile carrier’s rate plan.
Opt-out. You can cancel SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive from us. After you send the word STOP, we will send you a one-time confirmation message and you will no longer receive SMS messages from us unless you opt in again.
Help. For help, reply HELP to any message, or contact us at contact@nexusbuildworks.com or (854) 210-8150.
Carrier disclaimer. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Mobile information and third parties. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information may be shared with subcontractors or service providers (such as our messaging platform provider) solely to help us deliver the messaging service, and not for their own marketing. All other categories described in this Privacy Policy exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties, excluding aggregators and providers of the Text Message services.
3. Information We Collect
We collect personal information in the following ways:
- Information you provide directly — your name, email address, mobile or other phone number, mailing or project address, and any details you share about your project when you request a quote, complete a contact form, or communicate with us by phone, text, email, or in person.
- Information collected automatically — when you visit the Site, we and our service providers may automatically collect your IP address, browser type and version, device type, operating system, referring URLs, pages viewed, links clicked, and the dates and times of your visits, using cookies and similar technologies.
- Information from third parties — we may receive information about you from analytics and advertising providers, social media platforms, and other partners, consistent with their own privacy policies.
We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information (such as government identifiers, financial account numbers, or health data) through the Site, and we ask that you not submit such information to us through online forms.
4. How We Use Your Information
We use the personal information we collect to:
- Respond to your inquiries and provide quotes, consultations, and estimates;
- Send text messages you have consented to receive, and manage that messaging program;
- Schedule, perform, and manage your construction and remodeling projects;
- Process and administer our business relationship, including billing and record-keeping;
- Operate, maintain, analyze, and improve the Site, Services, and customer experience;
- Send administrative messages, updates, and, where permitted, marketing communications you may opt out of at any time;
- Detect, prevent, and address fraud, security incidents, and technical issues;
- Comply with our legal obligations and enforce our terms and rights.
5. Legal Bases for Processing (GDPR)
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom, we process your personal data only when we have a valid legal basis to do so, including: (a) your consent; (b) the performance of a contract with you or to take steps at your request before entering into a contract; (c) compliance with a legal obligation; and (d) our legitimate interests in operating and improving our business, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights and freedoms.
6. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

You can manage or disable cookies at any time through your browser settings. Please note that disabling certain cookies may affect the functionality of the Site. For more information about cookies and how to control them, visit www.allaboutcookies.org.
7. Analytics and Advertising
We may use third-party analytics and advertising services, including Google Analytics and Google advertising products, to understand how the Site is used and to display relevant advertising. 8. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We never share mobile opt-in or text-messaging consent data with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. We may share other personal information in the following limited circumstances:
- Service providers who perform functions on our behalf, such as website hosting, analytics, advertising, payment processing, and SMS delivery;
- Subcontractors and partners involved in delivering your project, only as needed to complete the work;
- Legal and regulatory authorities, when required by law, subpoena, or other legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Nexus BuildWorks, our customers, or others;
- Business transfers, in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of all or part of our business.
9. Data Retention
We retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, including to provide our Services, comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When personal information is no longer needed, we will securely delete or anonymize it.
10. Data Security
We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. International Data Transfers
We are based in the United States, and the information we collect may be processed and stored in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate. These countries may have data protection laws that differ from those in your country. Where required by law, we take appropriate safeguards to ensure your personal information remains protected when transferred internationally.
12. Your Privacy Rights
EEA and UK Residents (GDPR)
If you are located in the EEA or the UK, you have the right to: access your personal data; request correction of inaccurate data; request erasure (“right to be forgotten”); restrict or object to processing; request data portability; and withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

If you are a California resident, you have the right to: know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose; request access to and deletion of your personal information; correct inaccurate personal information; opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information (we do not sell personal information); and not be discriminated against for exercising your privacy rights.
How to Exercise Your Rights
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at contact@nexusbuildworks.com or (854) 210-8150. We will respond to verified requests within the timeframes required by applicable law. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling your request.
13. Do Not Track
Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” (DNT) signal. Because there is not yet a common industry standard for how to respond to DNT signals, our Site does not currently respond to them. We will update this Policy if that changes.
14. Children’s Privacy
Our Site and Services are intended for adults and are not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.
15. Third-Party Links
The Site may contain links to third-party websites and services, including our social media pages. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those third parties. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of every site you visit.
16. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technologies, legal requirements, or for other operational reasons. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Material changes will be made prominent where appropriate. We encourage you to review this Policy periodically.
